       I knew I loved her. I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life but, no one had faith it would work. We were “too young” or “too dumb”. My best friend in high school even had his doubts. But here we are 30 years married and 45 years together. Lorraine was my everything. We met in middle school in a strange way.


    I was really young and had a major crush on her. I had never had a girlfriend

 or felt so compelled to be with someone before. We were in 4 out of 6 classes together, so she was always there. I would use the most random conversation starters and everyone thought I was strange and creepy. Somehow she adored it. No one thought it would turn into anything and I had no chance. 


       Well my best friend that said we had no shot at lasting was my best man at my wedding. He slowly started to realize that just because we were young, we still knew what feelings to hold on and fight for.
