  Started as Friends I always looked at him as a friend. I guess the feelings just grew on me over time. I mean we already had a great connection and he was attractive, what else would you want. It was quite funny as well since we met off an app to meet possible dates. We just became best friends, not what you’d expect, right? I didn’t want anything romantic with him at first. I was completely ok with being best friends and nothing more.            However, feelings for the both of us changed. I had recently gone through a breakup and we ended up talking about how I had feelings for him. He admitted it as well. We talked about it being something we could visit.   Looking Back                My heart could hardly contain itself. My stomach knotted up in ways I have never felt before. I was the one to date a lot in hopes of finding the one. Call me a hopeless romantic if you’d like. Emily is the perfect package. An amazing smile that could light up an entire room corner to corner, the kindness and warmth that some may consider angelic, she was also drop dead gorgeous.                I thought I had no chance.   Out of Chance      I still remember my heart fluttering as I watched her play on the swing sets. Her red hair swinging behind her as her smile lit up the whole world. I loved watching her honey brown eyes look over at me. I never thought she would give me the time of day. One day I guess I got lucky. I don’t know how or why but she actually spoke to me. She asked for my name. I don’t think my little brain could even comprehend what was happening. The knots in my stomach were getting tighter and tighter every second. I have turned to writing during my darkest times and have pulled through and turned my pain into pleasurable or relatable stories for others.
